  1. Hi Peter – I came across your blog through the SEDA network and I’ve been recommending it to the participants on my programmes here at UCLan ever since! I was just wondering if there’s a reason you use white writing on a black background? This combination is particularly difficult for dyslexic people to read – my daughter is dyslexic and she can’t read it at all, she says the words move all over the page. I’ve never been for a dyslexia diagnosis, but I do struggle to read large amounts of white text on a black or dark background. If I was digitally savvy perhaps I’d be able to change the colours/background/font etc myself, in order to make it more accessible – but I’d have to make the effort and, to be honest, I’m just put off trying to read it, which is such a shame as I know you write some really good stuff! The British Dyslexia Association have some really good guidance about designing accessible resources and websites here: https://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/common/ckeditor/filemanager/userfiles/About_Us/policies/Dyslexia_Style_Guide.pdf
Thank you for the blog – it is really interesting – it would be great if you could make it more dyslexia friendly! Vikki 🙂
